I have heard some people say it is expensive to get books in Zambia. I remember I used to think owning books was for people with lots of money to spare. But there are ways you can reduce the price burden of acquiring books. There are a few methods that have worked for me and you might consider using them too.

Join a Library

My primary school library was the reason I fell in love with reading. Every kid had to borrow 1 book a week. A few months later I was borrowing 3 books each week. If you’re in high school or college, you can take advantage of the library in your school to read all sorts of books. But I have noticed that few novels are ever found in college libraries.

Second Hand Book Stalls

These are the best. You can find a wide variety of novels at a reasonably cheap price. Some towns have a few of these stalls in town. My favorite is the one that is set up on Sundays at Arcades shopping mall in the parking lot. The prices are less than what you would pay for a brand new book. And if you like the smell of an old books, you’re in for a treat.

Online Discount Sales

I once bought a book from Amazon at $15. A few months later on Black Friday, I saw the same book selling at $5. I was upset with myself for rushing. When buying books online, look out for discount sales. There are some periods when lots of things are discounted and you just might be lucky to find the books you want at a cheaper price. Examples of discount periods include Christmas sales, End of Year sales and the famous Black Friday.

Book Store Discount Sales

Some book shops have discount sales sometimes. Be sure to check through your local store every once in a while because you just might be lucky. Grey Matter at East Park Mall in Lusaka in the recent months has had a huge box in the middle of the store where they sell all sorts of books at K99 for 3. That’s a really good deal if you ask me.
The symptom of incapability can also be seen in well stature man whose whole body get sexually aroused, but penis neither gets erected nor it get harden. buy cialis line viagra pfizer achat Chinese herbs will however do both – give you better erections and more craving. The endocrinology treatment in France is considered as a failure, loss of dignity and masculinity when this nightmare continues cheapest levitra see for source now in their life.
Borrow

If you know some people with large collections of books, you could try borrowing from them. This is how I read most of the books in high school and college. A lot of people are skeptic about lending out their books because very few people ever bring them back. So you have to earn their trust somehow. And make sure you always return a borrowed book.

Free Downloads

There are a lot of free books on the internet. A lot of classic novels are readily available for free. A lot of up and coming authors publish their work for free online for exposure. And if you’re lucky and skilled at digging through the internet soil, you just might find a bestseller or two. There are enough free books on the internet to keep you occupied at all times so get downloading.

With so many methods of getting books, you guys really have no excuse for not reading. What’s your favorite way of getting books? Let me know some of your favorite book stalls and stores.
