3 years ago I made an agreement with myself. In order to start a personal little library for myself, I promised myself that I would buy 1 book every month. I have kept up with this practice and usually buy more than 1 book. But I am finding that the rate I read these books is not keeping up with the rate at which I’m buying them. I just don’t have enough time to read these days. And the shameful thing is that it’s mainly because of TV. So I decided to share my list of books that are just lounging on my bookshelf or in my kindle app waiting to be read. I intend on reading all of them this second quarter (April – June).
The second episode of the Tikambe show aired on TV last Friday. This time the guests were filmmaker Ngosa Chungu and Nancy Mweene, a counselor at YWCA. This time a young girl shared her story of how her father sexually abused her. His logic was that he was doing it to keep other boys from her. The girl’s identity was understandably withheld from the viewers.
